Brasserie Lionne
Brasserie Lionne is a stylish French-inspired restaurant in Helsinki, offering classic brasserie dining with a modern touch. The restaurant combines elegant interiors, warm hospitality, and a menu built around high-quality ingredients, making it a popular destination for lunches, evening dining, and special occasions. Inspired by traditional French food culture, the kitchen focuses on timeless dishes prepared with care and contemporary presentation.
The menu begins with starters (alkupalat) such as fresh salads (salaatit), soups (keitot), and seafood (merenelävät) dishes prepared with fish (kala), shrimp (katkarapu), and shellfish (äyriäiset). Popular ingredients include herbs (yrtit), butter (voi), garlic (valkosipuli), and citrus (sitrus), creating balanced and aromatic flavors. Classic appetizers may also include pâté (patee – lihatahna), cheese selections (juustovalikoima), and seasonal vegetable plates (kauden vihannesannokset).
Main courses (pääruoat) feature French brasserie favorites such as steak (pihvi – beef / naudanliha), roasted chicken (paahdettu kana), duck (ankka), and grilled fish (grillattu kala). These dishes are often served with potatoes (perunat), fries (ranskalaiset perunat), root vegetables (juurekset), and rich sauces (kastikkeet). Pasta (pasta) and vegetarian dishes (kasvisruoat) provide additional variety for different preferences.
Side dishes (lisukkeet) such as bread (leipä), green salads (vihersalaatit), and seasonal vegetables (vihannekset) complement the mains. Desserts (jälkiruoat) include French classics like crème brûlée (karamellisoitu vanukas), chocolate desserts (suklaajälkiruoat), and berry treats (marjajälkiruoat) made with cream (kerma), sugar (sokeri), and fruits (hedelmät).
With its polished atmosphere and classic European menu, Brasserie Lionne offers a refined dining experience in central Helsinki.
